Doddridge
County Ambulance Authority Board of Directors is
appointed through the authority of the Doddridge County
Commission.
Regular meetings of the Board of Directors are held on the
fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Smithburg
Volunteer Fire Department.
Executive Director
Randy Flinn
has vast experience in his over twenty five years of
emergency medical services. He is a Paramedic, HAZMAT Tech,
Fire Fighter, Advanced PADI Certified Diver and Instructor
is EMS, Fire and Rescue. He currently assists as a volunteer
firefighter for the City of Vienna, WV. Randy is also the
Medical Director for the WV Special Olympics and the Safety
Director for the WV Motor Speedway. Some of his past
experience includes Reserve Deputy for Wood County for five
years; member of the Wood County Emergency Services/Aux.
Police for twenty five years. He assisted with the
establishment of several ambulance services in Wood County
bringing a high level of experience to his position as
Executive Director of Doddridge County Ambulance Authority.
Board of Directors
Clint Adams is a Doddridge
County resident. A graduate of Salem-Teikyo University
in 2000 and he received his Juris Doctor from The
University of Akron in 2008. Clint has volunteered with
the BANCS Volunteer Fire Department since 2000 and
currently serves as the President. Clint received
training as an Emergency Medical Technician and has been
involved in Emergency Services in Doddridge County for
many years including previous stints as a volunteer at
Doddridge County EMS. Clint served on the board of
directors of Doddridge County EMS in 2003, 2004 and
2005. Clint previously worked as a 911 operator at
Central Communications, Inc. Clint currently works for a
law firm in Clarksburg, WV and continues his volunteer
activities as a member of the Doddridge County Ambulance
Authority.
Perry Ferguson
Charles (Chuck) Frum was born in
Smithburg, WV, attended Doddridge County Schools, before
graduating
from Gilmore High School in Jackson County.
Chuck and Jan returned to Doddridge Country in 1999, and
reside at Crystal Lake. Chuck has been self employed in
the textile industry for the past 38 years.
Ashley B. Gum has lived in Doddridge
County for 28 years. She is married to Chris Gum, and has
one son, Brennan Gum who is 7 years old and attends
Doddridge County Elementary School. She is a graduate from
Doddridge County High School. Ashley has been employed at
Central Communications, Inc. (911 Center) for 4 years.
Barbara L. Knight has
lived in Doddridge County for over 33 years and is married
to Greg Knight, a school teacher at Doddridge County Middle
School. A graduate of Fairmont State College (now
University) she has a BS in Accounting and Management, and
managed three medical offices in Doddridge and Ritchie
counties for over sixteen years. Barbara is currently Rural
Health Clinic Coordinator for United Physicians Care, Inc.
and serves on the Northern West Virginia RHEC advisory
board. Barbara and Greg are parents of three grown children,
Jennifer, Jared & Julie, and grandparents to Kyle, Andy,
Lydia, and Evan.
Dr. Jonathan Newman
Lewis J. Swann, a Doddridge county
native from the greater Salem residential
community, has
owned & operated his own business, then worked and retired
from the WVDOH. He helped form the Salem Area Chamber of
Commerce, assisted with the “Rails to Trails” project,
restoration of the old depot area and build the depot stage
which hosts the Applebutter Festival in Salem. He also
currently serves as Vice President of the Doddridge County
Fair Board on which he has served for over 25 years. A
member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Salem, Lewis is
married to the former Helen Kaye Strother, father to three
children, and grandfather of four.
